Courtney Reed discovered her passion for theatre at age six when she appeared in Cinderella with the Children’s Theatre of Elgin. At 12, she took on the title role in Annie, affirming her goal of becoming a professional actress. She continued her training at Larkin High School Visual and Performing Arts Academy and went on to earn a degree in Musical Theatre from the Chicago College of Performing Arts.

Reed made her Broadway debut in Mamma Mia! and later appeared in In the Heights. In 2011, she began portraying Princess Jasmine during the out-of-town tryout of Aladdin, officially opening on Broadway in the role on March 20, 2014. She reprised Jasmine on the North American Tour and in London’s West End, returning to Broadway for a final engagement in 2019.

In 2018, Reed debuted her solo concert at Feinstein’s/54 Below and co-founded Disney Princess – The Concert, now touring internationally. From 2022 to 2024, she starred as Satine in Moulin Rouge! The Musical on its North American Tour and on Broadway.

Reed continues to develop new projects while remaining deeply connected to her hometown of Elgin, where she frequently returns to perform and mentor young artists, inspiring the next generation of performers.
